We inform 6th year students that within the framework of extracurricular classes "Practical work" they are required to complete 500 teaching hours according to the published schedule/timetable for the summer semester of the academic year 2025/2026.
The internship is conducted in general dental clinics throughout Croatia. You can choose the mentor/primary healthcare clinic where you will do your practical work.
The conditions that must be met are:
o the mentor must have at least 5 years of work experience in primary health care
o the practice can be private, rented or part of a health center
o A mentor may only have one student at a time.
Dental practices where professional practice cannot be performed are:
o practices owned, managed or employed by a person who is a close family member of a student undertaking a professional internship,
o practices owned, managed or employed by a person who is a teacher or associate at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb,
o practices owned, managed or employed by a person whose immediate family member is a teacher or associate at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb.
Non-school mentors for students on professional practice cannot be:
o persons who are members of the immediate family of a student on professional internship,
o persons who are teachers or associates at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb,
o persons whose immediate family members are teachers or associates at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb.
It is necessary to send a scan of the completed and certified Application Form to Ms. Petra Lazić by email: plazic@sfzg.hr by November 28, 2025. The form is available under: Mentor Application.
Students who do not choose a mentor/practice themselves will have to choose a mentor/practice from December 1, 2025, according to the list of mentors/practices that will be published on the school's website.
It is necessary to submit a scan of the completed and certified Application Form to Ms. Petra Lazić by e-mail: plazic@sfzg.hr by January 8, 2026
All 6th year students must have a selected mentor/practice and a signed form by January 9, 2026.
