Horizon

• The Ministry of Science, Education and Youth and the Agency for Mobility and European Union Programmes, in collaboration with the University Computing Centre (SRCE), the Croatian Science Foundation, and HAMAG-BICRO, are organizing a cycle of webinars and information days of the Horizon Europe programme - Presentation of the call in 2026. 
• virtual event National Information Day for Cluster 1 and the Cancer Mission. The planned date is January 28, 2026. 
• European Commission Information Days:
• Horizon Implementation day - Novelties in the 2026-2027 Horizon Europe work programme - 20. 1. 2026.
• Horizon Europe info days - Cluster 1 - 10. 2. 2026.
• Horizon Europe info days - EU Missions - 20. and 21. 2. 2026.
• A new call for applications for projects within COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is expected in spring 2026. More information at the link.

Croatian Science Foundation

• On January 19, 2026, calls for proposals for research and foundational research projects were opened :

Research projects (IP):

• Duration : 3 years
• Funding amount per project: minimum 60,000 euros, maximum 200,000 euros
• The application is open for applications for national research projects and bilateral and trilateral collaborative scientific projects with researchers from Slovenia, Switzerland, Germany, and the Czech Republic.

Inception Research Projects (UIP)

• Duration : 3 years
• Funding amount per project: minimum 60,000 euros, maximum 200,000 euros
• The deadline for applications for both competitions is February 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM (CET).
• DOK competition announced in March 2026

Digital, Innovative and Green Technologies (DIGIT)

• Call for Proposal “Renovation and Equipping of the Headquarters and Open Laboratories (CoE MARBLE HQ).”
