There is a long tradition of research activity at the School of Dental Medicine. Research is conducted at each Department and in cooperation with research laboratories including the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb.

Research is also carried out within research projects under the patronage of the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, as well as under EU Framework Programmes (FP6, FP7).

The interdisciplinary character and signifi cant volume of published work contributed by employees, scientific novices, specializing students, and post graduate students make the School of Dental Medicine noticeable within the University of Zagreb.
