Dear Sir / Madam,

Due to the war in Ukraine, a large number of international students who are enrolled in Ukrainian dental programs are sending enquiries about transferring to University of Zagreb School of Dental medicine.

This information is intended for non-Ukrainian citizens who studied dentistry in Ukraine in English language and who would wish to transfer to our program in English language.

Ukrainian citizenship students are offered to continue dental studies in Zagreb in Croatian language free of tuition charge. Follow this LINK

To gain the status of a student and to enroll in the integrated undergraduate and graduate university study program of Dental Medicine at the University of Zagreb in the academic year 2022/23. it is necessary to submit to the University central office (e-mail: akadured@unizg.hr) the following documents:

1. A request for academic recognition of the period of study conducted at a foreign higher education institution, and for the purpose of continuing studies. This request is submitted to the Office for Academic Recognition of Foreign Higher Education Qualifications

2. transcript of passed exams with grades in the original (issued by the higher education institution) with the number of hours of lectures, seminars and practices,

3. certified translation to Croatian language of transcripts of passed exams (issued by court certified interpreter) with grades and the number of hours of lectures, seminars and practices,

4. official study plan and program showing the terms of studies and a summary of each subject taken and / or passed (issued by the higher education institution or available on the official website of the higher education institution) in English that does not need to be certified,

5. certificate of citizenship (copy of passport)

The above mentioned University central office will subsequently forward the documentation to us at the Dental School for evaluation.

 

However, in order to speed up the process, it would be best to additionally send the complete set of documents also to the Dental school directly (to us).

in person or by registered mail if you are sending original hard copies, or if digitally signed or from verifiable sources, you can send by email to sahula@sfzg.hr

We also (the Dental School, please note that it is in addition to documents you submit to University centrally, it is a double submission of same documents in order to accelerate the recognition process) should receive the request for transfer, transcript of grades (original or digitally signed, or from a verifiable source (eg from the faculty email address)) and the detailed contents of the study program which is also sent from a verifiable address or that it exists on the website of your current university.

 

In addition, we need you to send us a diploma that certifies your knowledge of English language, which needs to be minimally at the B2 level (or 6.5 IELTS). This diploma should be delivered to us by Sep. 15 2022 at the latest.
The deadline for applications will be June 20. 2022.

 

We will compare your program with ours and, depending on the similarities and differences, we will offer you a transfer to the appropriate academic year here. Which year this would be will solely depend on the subjects that you have passed in your current university.

By comparing your passed subjects with ours, you will get the initial rough idea of which year you could be admitted here.

 

The highest year at our program to which a student could be allocated is the 4th year.

Transfers will be possible upon the availability of vacant places at a particular study year.

The tuition fee is 10,000.00 Euro per year.

The first enrollment fee is 200 Euro.

You will be required to additionally pass Croatian language basic level during the 1st year of your stay in Zagreb.
